Clients are the reason the lights are on and the doors are open for business.  Since beginning Magnus we have looked for ways to say thank you to our clients.  We give gifts of books to first time clients, referral gifts, and gifts to clients who win their trials.  We know they are working hard too, on behalf of their client, i.e., our mutual client, and that they are well paid for their work.  But sometimes, that extra touch of some sort of recognition is important even for those who are well rewarded by their works.  There are many ways to spotlight clients and we’ve even celebrated a few special clients for milestones – like the client who hired us on our case #1000 (whom we treated to a chauffeur driven limo ride to a nice dinner)>  We have all probably been customers and clients of various sorts; too often we do not feel like a valued customer or client.  Magnus never wants that to be the case for our clients – they are the lifeblood of our business and we thank and celebrate them whenever we can!

In addition to the things David mentions, we also hosted an appreciation night for a client who, at the time, was Magnus’ best source of revenue, as well as the source of many referrals to other attorneys. We also give nice travel mugs to paralegals, legal assistants, and other members of our clients’ staffs, to thank them for helping us by coordinating meetings, etc. with their bosses. Regardless of who you are, most of us like to be recognized for our efforts. One of Magnus’ dearest and long term clients is an attorney in my hometown, Fort Myers, Florida. He loves our referral gift (a large canvas tote bag manufactured by a well known Maine firm) so much that he uses it for his groceries. He asked for a second bag for times he has a lot of groceries; David and I were happy to accommodate this request because “MAGNUS” is printed in large red letters on both bags. The bag is useful for our client and free advertising for us! Both David and I have immense appreciation for our clients. Without them, we would cease to exist. Because of them, we are thankful and we have no hesitation displaying our thanks in a multitude of ways. Our clients who win their cases in the courtroom are recipients of beautiful Clyde Butcher photographs. Many clients are multi time winners and it is a wonderful sight to see their display of Clyde Butcher’s art on their walls. We are currently working on cases with numbers in the 1700s (denoting we have worked on over 1,700 cases so far). I am eagerly awaiting the day when we will do something extra special to thank the client with case #2000!
